بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ ﴿۱﴾
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.Surah 93 · Meccan
Al-Duha
The Forenoon
الضحى
12 verses · Maulawi Sher Ali translation
وَالضُّحٰی ۙ﴿۲﴾
By the growing brightness of the forenoon,وَالَّیۡلِ اِذَا سَجٰی ۙ﴿۳﴾
And by the night when it becomes still,مَا وَدَّعَکَ رَبُّکَ وَمَا قَلٰی ؕ﴿۴﴾
Thy Lord has not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased with thee.وَلَلۡاٰخِرَۃُ خَیۡرٌ لَّکَ مِنَ الۡاُوۡلٰی ؕ﴿۵﴾
Surely every hour that follows is better for thee than the one that precedes.وَلَسَوۡفَ یُعۡطِیۡکَ رَبُّکَ فَتَرۡضٰی ؕ﴿۶﴾
And thy Lord will soon give thee and thou wilt be well pleased.اَلَمۡ یَجِدۡکَ یَتِیۡمًا فَاٰوٰی ۪﴿۷﴾
Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter?وَوَجَدَکَ ضَآلًّا فَہَدٰی ۪﴿۸﴾
And He found thee wandering in search for Him and guided thee unto Himself.وَوَجَدَکَ عَآئِلًا فَاَغۡنٰی ؕ﴿۹﴾
And He found thee in want and enriched thee.فَاَمَّا الۡیَتِیۡمَ فَلَا تَقۡہَرۡ ؕ﴿۱۰﴾
So the orphan, oppress not,93:11

وَاَمَّا السَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡہَرۡ ﴿ؕ۱۱﴾
[✲]And him who seeks thy help, chide not,93:12

وَاَمَّا بِنِعۡمَۃِ رَبِّکَ فَحَدِّثۡ ﴿٪۱۲﴾
[✲]And the bounty of thy Lord, proclaim.Al-Duha — The Forenoon
